Ampelopsis Porcelain Berry



Ampelopsis glandulosa var. brevipedunulata known as elegans variegated porcelain berry is a deciduous climbing vine. This vine has green variegated leaves that have a coarsely toothed margin. Porcelain Berry climbs via tendrils to a height of 4-6m. Small, green-white flowers appear from winter to spring followed by round fruit that is green, blue, purple, pink or yellow with black or brown speckles. Plant in well-drained and work soil. Water in well and keep the soil moist until the tree is established. Fertilise when planting and again after new growth. Prune to shape as necessary.
