Description
A compact evergreen bush with small glossy, dark green leaves with new growth tinged red. During summer the plant is covered in white flowers that are followed by red berries in summer and autumn. Ideally eaten on fresh or can be made into jams and jellies.
Thrives in a variety of positions with some protection from strong winds. Prefers moist, well-drained soils. Prefers full sun although will grow and fruit in part shade. Tolerates extreme climatic conditions. Feed with a balanced fertiliser high in nitrogen. Prune in early spring to maintain desired size and shape.
