Acmena Smithii Firescreen, this selection holds foliage to the ground, making it an IDEAL HEDGE from 1.2m high.
Brilliant copper-red new foliage matures to glossy green. Unhedged, forms a dense screen to 6m high x 2m wide approx. or can be clear-trunked and grown as a compact tree. Low-fruiting with small cream summer blossoms, followed by edible cherry in winter. For best results plant in full sun to medium shade in soil with organic matter and slow release fertiliser and water regularly. Drought, heat wave and cold tolerant to -2° once established. Perfect for pots, pleaching & topiary. For ideal screen or hedge, plant 1m apart and prune to height and width desired.
