Description
One of the big, classic slicing tomatoes — thick-fleshed fruit that can weigh over 400g each. Rich, old-fashioned tomato flavour that’s hard to beat in sandwiches and salads.
An indeterminate variety, so it keeps growing and producing through the season. Needs sturdy staking or a strong cage to support the heavy fruit. Plant in full sun with rich, well-drained soil after the last frost in Melbourne (usually late October). Water consistently and feed regularly for the best crop.
Botanical name: Solanum lycopersicum (beefsteak type)
