Did you know?
There are plenty of helpful little tricks out there to keep your indoor plants growing strong and healthy. Here are some of our team’s favourite quick tips for caring for your indoor potted plants and making sure they’re as happy as can be.
Give it a spin! Gently rotating your pot plant 90-180 degrees from time to time will help it grow foliage more evenly. It can also prevent plants from leaning towards the sun when placed in indirect light, or from scorching the leaves when in direct sunlight.
Water while you’re away. Heading away for a few days? You can use a technique called ‘wicking’ to keep your houseplants watered. Place some string (or ‘wick’) firmly in your soil, with the other end in a glass of water. It will slowly drip-feed your plant!
Dust your leaves. Dust build-up on the leaves of your indoor plants interferes with the natural process of photosynthesis. Mist your plants or wipe them down with a damp cloth to remove any dust. It’ll also help with keeping them moist and humid.
