Description
An evergreen shrub with cascading clusters of small, white bell-shaped flowers from late winter through spring. The new growth emerges in vivid red-bronze before maturing to glossy, dark green. The flower clusters resemble lily of the valley, giving it its common name.
Grows in part shade with moist, well-drained, acidic soil. Deadhead spent flowers to encourage new growth. Feed with an acid-loving fertiliser. Protect from hot afternoon sun and wind.
Botanical name: Pieris japonica
