Description
A popular annual bedding plant with masses of tiny flowers in blue, white, or purple. The fine foliage is almost hidden beneath the flowers when in full bloom. Trailing varieties work well in hanging baskets and pot edges; compact varieties suit borders and garden beds.
Grows best in spring and early summer before the heat sets in. Plant in full sun to part shade with moist, well-drained soil. Water regularly — lobelias do not like drying out.
Botanical name: Lobelia erinus
