Description
A fast-growing deciduous oak with a distinctive pyramidal shape. Upper branches grow upright, middle branches are horizontal, and lower limbs sweep gracefully downward. The sharply lobed, bright green leaves turn vivid red and bronze in autumn — one of the more reliable oaks for autumn colour in Melbourne.
Grows to around 15m. Plant in full sun with well-drained soil. Suits larger gardens, parks, driveways, and avenue plantings. Hardy and long-lived.
