Description
An Italian bitter salad leaf from the chicory family with deep red and white variegation. The slightly bitter, peppery flavour adds bite and colour to salads. Can also be grilled, roasted, or braised.
Best sown in autumn for tight heading through the cooler months. Grows in full sun to part shade with moist, well-drained soil. Harvest whole heads or pick outer leaves as needed.
