Description
Victoria’s most common native banksia, with leathery green leaves showing silvery undersides. Pale yellow cylindrical flower spikes appear from autumn through spring, providing nectar for honeyeaters, parrots, and other native birds.
Grows to around 5m depending on conditions — can vary from a dense shrub to a small tree. Plant in full sun with well-drained soil. Frost tolerant and drought hardy. Works as a feature plant, screen, or in mixed native plantings.
