Trofortem Fruit and Citrus Fertiliser is a controlled-release garden fertiliser. It contains a biologically coated, specifically engineered, mineral base that incorporates essential natural minerals and a scientifically balanced suite of well-researched and trialled Australian-cultured beneficial soil microbes. In addition to providing full nutritional benefits to plants, Trofotem can assist in providing non-nutritional benefits including improved water uptake, disease resistance and organic carbon enrichment by increasing the soil’s microbial biomass and, therefore, soil wettability. These microbes (probiotics) carry out a wide range of biological activities within the soil such as nitrogen-fixing, nutrient building, producing growth hormones, decomposing organic matter to organic carbon, and even protecting beneficial bacteria.
