An Australian native evergreen tree with glossy, lance-shaped leaves and clusters of small yellow flowers in summer. The bark is the standout feature — smooth, cream to golden-brown, peeling to reveal fresh colours underneath. Compact and tidy for a native tree.
Grows to around 8m. Hardy and adaptable — handles a range of soil types including clay and waterlogged conditions. Works as a feature tree, shade tree, or street tree in Melbourne gardens.
