Description
A citrus tree producing fruit with deep crimson flesh — the colour comes from anthocyanins that develop in response to cool nights. The flavour balances sweetness with a hint of berry-like tang. The fruit varies from deep red to maroon inside.
Evergreen with glossy foliage and fragrant white flowers. Needs full sun, well-drained soil, and regular citrus feeding. Suits Melbourne’s climate well, especially in warmer, sheltered spots. Good in the ground or in a large pot.
