Description
A native bottlebrush with deep maroon to purple flower brushes from late spring through early autumn. New growth comes through pink, adding extra colour. Birds and insects love the flowers.
Handles most soil types — sand through to clay — and copes with drought, frost, wind, and wet conditions. Tip prune after flowering to encourage bushy growth. Mulch and feed with a native slow-release fertiliser.
Botanical name: Callistemon ‘Burgundy’
