Description
A classic fragrant lavender with silvery-green foliage and spikes of violet-purple flowers from spring through summer. The scent is sweet and calming — one of the most widely used plants for fragrance in the garden. Attracts bees and butterflies.
Grows to around 60cm. Plant in full sun with well-drained soil. Drought tolerant and frost hardy. Works as a low hedge, border, pathway edging, or in pots. Harvest flower stems for drying, cooking, and sachets. Trim after flowering to keep the plant compact.
Botanical name: Lavandula angustifolia
