Description
A deciduous tree famous for its spectacular display of lavender-blue, trumpet-shaped flowers in November. The fern-like foliage is fine and feathery, giving the tree a light, airy canopy. Fallen flowers create a purple carpet beneath the tree.
Grows to around 10m. Needs a warm, sunny position — performs best in Melbourne’s northern and western suburbs where summers are warmer. Plant in full sun with well-drained soil. Water well until established.
