Description
A dwarf form of the kaffir lime — the same aromatic, bumpy-skinned fruit and fragrant double-lobed leaves used in South-East Asian cooking, on a smaller, more compact plant. Well suited to pots and smaller gardens.
Grows to around 1.5-2m. Plant in full sun in a warm, sheltered position with well-drained soil. Feed with citrus fertiliser through the growing season. In frost-prone Melbourne areas, grow in a pot you can move under cover in winter.
Botanical name: Citrus hystrix (dwarf)
