Description
The most popular kumquat variety. A compact, evergreen citrus tree bearing small, elongated, bright orange fruit with sweet skin and tart flesh — eaten whole, skin and all. The fruit is also popular in marmalade, preserves, and cocktails.
Grows to around 2-3m. Plant in a warm, sunny position with well-drained soil. Compact and productive — suits pots, courtyards, and espaliering against warm walls. Feed with citrus fertiliser through the growing season.
Botanical name: Citrus japonica ‘Nagami’
