Description
A semi-deciduous tree with vibrant burgundy-red new growth in spring that matures to deep green in summer, then turns fiery reds and oranges in autumn. Graceful, arching branches create a broad, spreading canopy. The peeling bark adds further interest.
Grows to around 10m. Plant in full sun with well-drained soil. Hardy and adaptable. Works as a shade tree, street tree, or feature in larger Melbourne gardens.
