Description
A native eucalyptus with profuse ruby-red to pink flowers from winter through spring — one of the best native trees for winter colour. The flowers are rich in nectar and attract honeyeaters and other native birds. Dark, deeply furrowed ironbark and grey-green foliage provide year-round structure.
Grows to around 10m. Plant in full sun with well-drained soil. Frost tolerant and drought hardy once established. Suits larger Melbourne gardens.
Botanical name: Eucalyptus leucoxylon
