Description
Not a true palm — actually a cycad, one of the oldest plant groups on earth. Stiff, dark green, feathery fronds emerge from a thick, textured trunk. Very slow growing and extremely long-lived. A bold architectural plant.
Grows in full sun to part shade with well-drained soil. Hardy and drought tolerant once established. Works indoors in a bright position or outdoors in a sheltered Melbourne courtyard. Toxic if ingested — keep away from pets.
