Description
A deciduous ornamental tree with deep pink bracts (not true petals) in late spring — one of the showiest dogwood varieties. The burgundy-red autumn foliage adds a second season of colour. Strawberry-like red fruit appears in late summer.
Grows to around 5m. Thrives in part shade with well-drained, acidic soil. Suits sheltered Melbourne gardens as a feature or specimen tree. Four-season interest.
