Description
A flowering perennial grown from tubers, producing large, showy, rose-like blooms in vivid reds, pinks, yellows, oranges, and whites through spring and summer. The blooms are among the biggest and most colourful of any shade-tolerant plant. Dies back in winter and re-emerges each spring.
Plant tubers in spring in part shade with moist, well-drained soil. Avoid hot afternoon sun. Works in pots, hanging baskets, and shaded garden beds. Feed regularly while in active growth.
Botanical name: Begonia x tuberhybrida
