Introducing Jane & Craig

Everyone wants a place where you can hang your hat at the end of the day and feel at home. You should feel like yourself at home. Your backyard can bring you so much happiness; from the fresh air and the green foliage to the changing colours of the season, make sure you take the time to create a landscape you’re proud of.

Last December, we held a Christmas giveaway competition where people shared their favourite story of a loved one who was deserving of a garden revival. The winner would receive a $300 Diaco’s gift voucher on us, and a Diaco’s team member would visit the winner’s home to give advice on how to create their dream garden.

We had an overwhelming amount of responses and so many special stories shared, but one of the entries stood out from the rest. As the days passed by, we watched the number of votes grow, and we were excited to give our Christmas giveaway to a well-deserved couple: Jane and Craig.

Craig is terminally ill with a degenerative heart condition. He spends most of his time at home, where he longs to create a native Australian garden which reflects his love for the Australian bush. His wife Jane is a strong support for him, and together they have faced a lot.

Their story moved us all, and we felt they deserved more, so we decided to give Jane and Craig a full garden makeover. With a project this big, we knew we needed help from our friends. We had Barry from Humphris Nursery and Luke with his team from Mirage Landscapes get involved in this very special project, and we would like to extend a big thank you to all that helped out. The teams were incredibly generous with their resources and dedicated many man hours.

Together, we were able to deliver a stunning garden for the beautiful couple. From everyone here at Diaco’s, Mirage Landscapes and Humphris Nursery, we wish Jane and Craig every happiness in the world. You’ve inspired us all with your strength and admiration for one another. Thank you for letting us be Santa’s little helpers for a short moment.
