Description
A deciduous flowering tree that puts on a strong show in summer with masses of crinkly, crepe-textured blooms in pinks, reds, purples, and whites. The bronze-green foliage turns orange and red in autumn, and the mottled bark adds winter interest.
Grows to around 5m. Prune in late winter to develop strong growth and encourage flowering. Fertilise at planting and again when new growth appears. Works as a feature tree or mass-planted for impact.
