An iconic Australian native tree known for its spectacular display of bright red, bell-shaped flowers in summer. The flowers appear on bare branches after the tree sheds its large, dark green leaves — creating a vivid canopy of red. One of the most visually striking native trees.
Grows to around 15m over time. Plant in full sun with well-drained soil. Prefers a warm position. Suits larger Melbourne gardens and properties.
