Description
A large deciduous shade tree with a broad, round canopy of large, maple-shaped leaves. The bark peels in patches to reveal a distinctive, dappled pattern of cream, grey, and olive — one of its best features. Green leaves turn gold and brown in autumn before dropping.
Grows to around 30m — needs space. Tolerates pollution, heat, and urban conditions. A classic street and park tree that works in large Melbourne gardens and properties.
