Description
An evergreen shrub with clusters of reddish-pink buds that open to highly fragrant pink flowers from mid-winter through spring. The scent is one of the strongest of any garden shrub — plant near a window or path to catch it.
Needs well-drained soil and a part-shade position. Daphnes do not tolerate wet feet, so drainage is critical. Avoid disturbing the roots once planted. Mulch to keep roots cool and moist.
